Oi! the Boat Records

The Randumbs "Its about time... Again" LP LIMITED HAND NUMBERED

More Smart Than You Music's 2007 re-issue of the 1998 classic "Its About Time" from GMM. The Randumbs are a band that're probably in your collection already thus requiring no introduction, but if not... Their music is a frenetic onslaught of 'Noma brand punk rock. They're favorites of ours here at the Boat. This record opens with "Disgruntled," a downhill song with sharp edges in all the right places. "Martin Decker" and "Dumpster Baby" stick in your head like a nervous tick. "No Work" is a timeless sick day anthem- the kinda tune you blast when you have fuck all too do but get day drunk with your buds, "I work hard, just not today, and I wouldn't wanna have it any other way!" There's a lesson there.
It's probably in bad taste to reference a song from a another record, but I first heard the Randumbs on a tip from a pubescent Kyle Gross eleven or twelve years ago, the song "Noma Girl" from the 'Back From Sonoma' EP was an instant all time favorite. I immediately ordered the split 7" with Pressure Point... which is another great record we don't have in stock.... Just the same--- get those records somewhere too, get hooked.
